Indiana SSA Annual Meeting 

Save-the-Date: The INSSA 2020 Annual Meeting will be May 19, 2020 at the Hilton Indianapolis. 

The 2019 Indiana SSA Annual Meeting was held on April 16th at the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites, and was attended by 90 owners, operators, managers, prospective owners and vendors. It was a great day of networking, visiting with industry leading vendors, and attending informative educational sessions. In the morning, there was dedicated time for visiting with exhibitors, which provided an opportunity to network and learn about new products, technologies, and services. Pete Whittingslow of PTI Security introduced attendees to the Young Leaders Group (YLG), which provides members of this group, all forty and under, a chance to network and learn with others in their age group who are the future of the self storage industry. After introductions, the first educational session of the day was a security panel moderated by Jay Allardt of Storage Prime.  Doug Ratliff of Storage Maintenance Specialists and Pete Whittingslow of PTI Security Systems shared best practices of how owners and operators can keep their facilities and customers safe. Next, David Deshotels of Cost Segregation Services, Inc. discussed the importance of keeping up with tax reforms for self storage owners and operators. The session went through new tax reforms and how they impact self storage businesses. Lunch was sponsored by Boxwell, and Lisa Maloney of Boxwell spoke about portable containers. Following lunch, Scott Zucker of the Self Storage Legal Network spoke on how to understand your rental agreement. The educational sessions wrapped up with sessions on digital marketing with Christina Alvino of Fineview Marketing and online auctions with Lonnie Bickford of StorageAuctions.com. Attendees enjoyed a networking reception at McCormick and Schmick’s at the Hilton Indianapolis Hotel & Suites. Overall, the 2019 Indiana SSA Annual Meeting was a great success, with many opportunities for attendees to network, meet with exhibitors, and attend educational sessions tailored to address relevant topics in the state. We hope to see you next year!

Payment & Cancellation Policy:

All registrations must include full payment. Indiana Self Storage Association (INSSA) does not bill for payment or accept partial payments. Requests must be made in writing to the INSSA. Requests received by March 26, 2019 will receive a partial refund, less a $50 cancellation fee. After March 26th, INSSA will not issue any refunds, even if you are unable to attend the event. Attendees may be substituted for a registrant without an additional charge. INSSA must be notified in writing of any substitutions at least three days prior to the event.
